: Celebration of Diverse American Identity Through Visual Art

Nomads Art Collective (NAC) was born as an annual artists collaboration + open group exhibition project sponsored by the Korean Cultural Society of Boston in 2024. We're on a mission of providing a platform for making connections and giving opportunities for emerging artists in New England and beyond. In recent worldwide trend & movements of K-culture: “Hallyu”, we’ve been actively engaged with local communities & multi-cultural groups beyond Korean-American population.
Many of our core members are involved in community studios such as Harvard Ceramics, Mudflat Studio, Framingham & Sudbury art communities, Somerville or Natick Open Studios.
We’re looking forward to extending our community and to serve a larger group of artists, providing open doors to empower and learn more about each other, growing together as artists in diversity. Our goal is to extend our call-for-arts in addition to our annual members show in fall. We are welcoming emerging artists: ceramists, sculptors, painters, crafters and photographers to our collective exhibitions. We actively seek out collaboration opportunities and work together with venues & organizations to provide a physical showcase space for our artists.

The current "Riu: Flow" exhibition series is curated group exhibitions spotlighting Asian American artists and their friends with diverse background and heritage working in visual art such as painting, fiber, sculpture and ceramic. The groups include not only the artists who carry genetic traits from the geological Asia, but also those who embrace their influential connections with Asian culture through their life experiences. The project explores themes of identity, migration, spiritual human connection, and cultural influence through tactile forms. The exhibitions feature minimum of 8-10 artists with artist talks, sharing personal stories and creative processes. We also collaborate with musicians to provide dynamic atmosphere for our exhibitions.
Our exhibitions will create intergenerational dialogue around the diverse American life experiences and engage the public with interdisciplinary artistic practices.
